Anne Bayefsky is currently the director of the Touro College Institute on Human Rights and the Holocaust. Prior to that, she was a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute and taught at Columbia University Law School and York University in Toronto. Professor Bayefsky has authored several books on human rights, including The UN and Beyond: United Democratic Nations. In 2003, she launched a website, www.Bayefsky.com, whose mission is to enhance the implementation of the human rights legal standards of the United Nations. Her website is a highly-regarded legal database for international human rights, and has attracted over 750,000 visitors from 181 countries since it was launched. She has served as a distinguished Canadian delegate to several international meetings, including the U.N. Human Rights Commission and the U.N. General Assembly.
